Dollar Tree Cookie Sheet Ornament

You know those crafts that make you go…… “NO WAY that’s made from a ____________!!!” This one started with a disposable cookie sheet from Dollar Tree, then turned into quite the cutie Christmas ornament!

The square wood planks came from Dollar Tree too & there are 6 in a package!! WHAT!!?? So after you watch the tutorial & do the math, that’s only $1-$2/ornament!

So if you want to give this one a try, which I’m guessing you just might…here are the SUPPLIES I USED:

  • Disposable cookie sheets (from Dollar Tree)
  • Wood Planks (from Dollar Tree)
  • 12mm Wood Beads
  • 16mm Wood Beads
  • Brown chalk paint (Dixie Belle’s “Coffee Bean”)
  • Christmas cardstock/scrapbook paper (Hobby Lobby)
  • Raffia
  • Mod Podge
  • Glue gun
  • Copper wire
  • Scissors
  • Wire Cutters
  • Small foam & paint brush
  • Plastic cup
  • Lint-free rag
  • Permanent marker
  • Cookie Cutters (can use to trace shapes if you don’t want to freehand)

In the video below, I show you step by step how it all came together!! There are lots of ways of making this one your very own too!! Maybe you have some wrapping paper, fabric or tissue paper instead of cardstock…..or cut any shape out of the cookie sheet! You’ll see what I mean after you watch the video!!

  1. Thanks for sharing your project with us I love using the aluminum pans and I always keep the pans with the embossment pattern in them–adds dimension–when I watch crafters smooth it out, I think to myself why in the world would they do that? Keep on craftin’.

  2. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly.
    I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.

    I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
