Inspired by the New Year, I wanted to make a God-fidence Vinyl Sign as a faith based vision for the future!

Of course Godfidence is a made up word, a play on confidence…..but it’s really a beautiful sentiment.

“Godfidence” is trusting God is in control and that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Godfidence is trusting that all things, even difficult and painful things, can work together for good, if we tune into the Spirit who is at work in us.

TAP HERE to find out more about my friend Danielle’s Digital Dust Designs! I love using them in a variety of crafty ways! Here is a sweet little Nativity Sign I created too!

Here are the Simple Steps for making this Vinyl God-fidence Sign:

  1. I download the DXF God-fidence file from my Digital Dust subscription (you could also type out your own design that looks similar)
  2. I uploaded the DXF file into my Silhouette Machine and restacked, welded & grouped the design to match the size of my sign
  3. I prepared my cutting mat with a piece of Black Matte Vinyl big enough for design
  4. Then pressed SEND for the Silhouette to cut the design
  5. I then removed the vinyl from the machine and weeded the excess vinyl from the cut design, leaving only the words
  6. I applied clear contact paper over the words and burnished to release black vinyl lettering from the white backer paper
  7. I placed the design onto the sign and burnished again to release the black vinyl lettering from the contact paper
  8. I then used a foam brush to to apply clear, matte polycrylic as a sealer
  9. I used a black ink pad to rub along the edges to add character to the wood frame
  10. Using a light duty stapler, I attached some of the green berry bush at top of the sign
  11. I took strips of fabric/ribbon and created a simple rag bow on my little bow jig
  12. Tied it off with jute string and used the stapler again to attach bow in center of greenery/sign
  13. TaDa! All Done!
