This is a true Trash to Treasure story! A broken, rusty planter that was destined for the dumpster gets a whole new life! My FAVORITE stories!! I sure wish I had a picture of what this little bicycle planter looked like before. It had a ceramic frog on the seat & a small terra cotta pot on the back & it ended up in a good ole’ junk pile in our yard. It was well-loved for years, but I hadn’t decided it had other potential!

Now, I don’t know about y’all, but when I get in a good cleanout mood, some things get thrown away that I later regret haha! I was chunkin’ & making quick decisions during a yard cleanup and kept saying, YOU are NOT a Hoarder lol. But when I got to this one, I thought hey, this could be really cute made over! And that’s exactly what I did!

fabric scraps being made into a cute mini pennant banner
The mini pennant banners I made with fabric scraps are my favorite detail!!

I crafted this one LIVE over on my Facebook community, but edited down the video just for y’all to get the highlights! And while everyone was watching this one come together, I had some amazing suggestions for additional embellishments! Watch the video & at the end I reveal all the beautiful details & additions I made!

I couldn’t be happier with the CUTENESS it exudes!! Oh, AND it coordinates beautifully with the Ripped Fabric Easter Garland I made! Y’all should check that one out too HERE!

I hope this one gives you inspiration to see something and imagine the new life you could give it!! Trash to treasure, drab to fab, reloved, upcylced, reimagined…you get it!! Y’all have a FABULOUS & CREATIVE day!!!
