Wooden Photo Display Block
I’m so excited to share with you how to make one of my most favorite gift-giving DIYS!! I have made sooooo many of these wooden photo holders & it never gets old! Choosing the paint color, ribbon & decorative knob can truly make each one you create so unique!!
They’re just so beautiful & practical! And pretty simple too…..the basic supplies are a piece of wood, ribbon & decorative knob!

Here is the complete SUPPLY LIST so you can make one too:
- 2x6x8in wood block
- 1.5in decorative ribbon
- Two upholstery tacks
- Decorative knob (Hobby Lobby)
- Chalk Paint (color “drop cloth” by Dixie Belle)
- Wood water-based stain (chocolate by Minwax)
- Glue Gun
- E6000 Industrial Glue
- Drill
- Hammer
- Scissors
- Paint/stain brushes
- Lint-free rag for stain
- Sander or sanding block
While this block is designed to display a 4×6 photo, it can be used to display lots of things…..such as prayer, scripture, to-do list, inspirational quote or even a family recipe! The possiblilities are endless!
