First, begin by cutting up the garland
It was very easy to take apart…..I simply cut away the hanging string and pom poms.
You’ll get 11 burlap triangle pieces from the garland.
Take 2 triangles and hot glue edges together, leaving the bottom open to stuff with polyfil. Consider repurposing old pillow stuffing instead of using brand new.
Fill Candy Corn with some type of polyfil/stuffing
As I was filling the candy corn with stuffing, I used the end of a paint brush to push the stuffing into top point.
Once filled, I used more hot glue to close up the open part of the candy corn.
A step you’ll see in the short video tutorial is how I used my Gator Zip Sander to tatter the edges of the candy corn.
Let’s add some beautiful greenery to dress it up a bit.
Added a bit more hot glue to secure the greenery before adding more embellishments.
You never know when you might need that random thing you saved
Knowing this canvas ribbon would come in handy, I repurposed it for adding stamped bow to the candy corn.
I had saved the ribbon from packaging of a throw…..love when my saving “hoarding” things works out lol.
It really was the perfect touch. I simply glued a small piece of the ribbon over the greenery and then tied a simple knot in a longer piece, creating tails.
If I didn’t have this canvas ribbon piece, I would have used my favorite Osnaburg Fabric. If you’ve never used Osnaburg, check out how perfect it is on the bow of this Pumpkin Frame Decor!
Rubber Stamps are often the perfect added detail.
This little Dollar General Rubber Stamp set was just right size for customizing the ribbon tails.
After those sweet touches, I made 2 more and embellished just a little differently but they all coordinate.
Love this Coordinating Set of Candy Corns
Using a little black striped fabric and wooden buttons, I created the cutest trio of Candy Corn Bowl Fillers.
Now, it’s time to Style them!
So many uses for these, but I had fun styling in my favorite vintage wire basket.
AND keep scrolling to see how adorable they look in my Hobby Lobby Dough Bowl.
