Simple Steps:

  • Mix a bit of water & Truffle brown paint to create a “stain”…..apply over entire board & wipe back excess with baby wipe or wet towel
  • Once dry, use a foam or paint brush to apply a generous coat of matte mod podge
  • While mod podge is drying, print Easter Printable onto regular computer printer paper. (I resized by 8x10in design to a 7x9in image to fit my board)
  • Use a small brush and a bit of water around edges of design and then rip for those tattered edges
  • Once mod podge is almost fully dry, place down the printable….cover with parchment paper or teflon heat sheet
  • Next, apply a dry iron on medium heat to reactivate the dried mod podge
  • You can seal with an additional coat of mod podge or spray sealer
  • Use sand paper to rub along edges & give a distressed look
  • To create bow, gather and layer a piece of burlap, raffia bunch, & ripped fabric….tie in center with jute string
  • Use hot glue to attach bow
  • Apply the same truffle brown “stain” to a wooden button & then hot glue in center for that final touch!
