Simple Steps for creating a Weathered Vintage Frame:
- After removing glass, paint the backer board with color plaster
- While that is drying, print your FREE Sparrow Printable for the size frame you’re using…mine was printed on Rice decoupaging Paper
- Apply mod podge to backer board and attach the rice paper design
- Score edges to release excess paper with gator sander….set aside
- For base to look like metal, simply apply mod podge
- While mod podge is still wet sprinkle on cinnamon
- Seal with more mod podge
- Scuff sand the wood frame with gator sander
- Then apply Cracked Patina medium
- Once that is dry, apply coat of Plaster chalk paint
- Let that dry then seal with more mod podge
- Once dry you can place the backer board with printable back in place
- If you’d like a bow, use osnaburg muslin fabric, along with bow jig to create a small bow
- Attach bow with temporary glue dots or hot glue for more permanent adhesion
