14 Creative Ways to Decorate with Vintage Finds

If you love vintage decor, one of the best parts is finding unexpected ways to use old pieces around your home. Sometimes the most charming decor isn’t something brand new – it’s an old item with a new purpose.

I was recently visiting Minden, Louisiana for a little sewing retreat & stopped in a couple vintage shops….Farmer’s Daughter & Heavenly Treasures. As I was strolling through all the merchant booths, I took some photos and video to showcase some of these fun ideas!

Creative ways to decorate with vintage finds and give them a second life:

1. Use a Vintage Pastry Cutter as a Photo Holder

An old pastry cutter makes a sweet and unexpected way to display a favorite photo, recipe card, or little note.

Those beautiful old sewing machine bases make the perfect foundation for a one-of-a-kind side table or accent table. And fun fact – I loved this one so much, I bought it!

Below is a photo of how I used a hanger and fabric to create one for my home. I used one of the printables that can be found in the Printable Nest, a subscriber library where you can find hundreds of vintage-inspired printable designs for crafting, decorating, gifting, and creative living!

And if you would like to do something similar, you can learn how to print on fabric in THIS POST.
