Here is a simple SUPPLY LIST:
I list everything I used, but you could try it out with papers or shapes you already have in your stash
- Wood Cutout (I picked up my peach & lemon from a local shop, but you could order one similar here on this Door Hanger site SHOP DOOR HANGER BLANKS)
- Floral Tissue Paper (Hobby Lobby SKU: 923268)
- Mod Podge
- A few paint brushes
- Palette Knife
- Chalk & Acrylic Paints of your choice
- Mister Bottle (Get it HERE)
- Baby Wipes and/or Paper Towels
- Electric Sander (Get it HERE)
- Electric Drill
- Sanding Paper/Block (Get it HERE)
- Spray Sealer
- Ribbons & Raffia of your choice for the Bow
- Scissors
- Light Duty Stapler (Get it HERE)
- Jute String for Bow
- Larger Jute String for Hanging
I think this unique technique will look great on many door decor cutouts!

Do you by chance have a tutorial of the lemon or possibly the colors that you used I live here in Southern California and it is a citrus community lemons and oranges and I would love to make this for my front door!
Hi Krista! I do wish I had that info for you, but I did that lemon a while back and don’t remember products used exactly. I did decoupage a decorative tissue paper first….picked that up at Hobby Lobby..Then I color washed in various yellows & antiqued with brown paint I think. I hope that is somewhat helpful! I love lemons too!
