The idea for this Patriotic Fabric Flag was inspired by a beautiful piece of reclaimed wood.

There’s just something about a piece of character wood that makes a project truly special & unique.

You can use other items like stretched canvas, wood or canvas panel, or any other blank plaque. Just use what you have on hand & get creative!

  • StazOn Black Ink (Find it HERE)
  • Safety Pin (Hobby Lobby)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Twine

Notes:

  • Blue Floral Rectangle measures 3.5×5.5in
  • 2 of the Red Ticking Striped Fabric pieces measured 1inx6in
  • the other 2 measured 1×11.5in

Simple STEPS to create this Patriotic Fabric Flag:

  • Rip & Cut Blue Fabric into rectangle 3.5×5.5in
  • Rip 4 strips of Red Ticking Striped Fabric
  • 2 of the Red Ticking Striped Fabric pieces measured 1inx6in
  • the other 2 measured 1×11.5in
  • Now attach to wood piece with hot glue
  • Next, hot glue on 5 rusty stars
  • To make a simple rag bow, take 4 strips of osnaburg fabric…layer & secure with twine
  • Hot Glue bow onto bottom right corner of blue fabric piece
  • Using number stamps & black ink pad, create a 1776 label on osnaburg
  • Finally attach 2 rusty bells & fabric tag safety pin onto bow
