The Video Tutorial Below shows the DIY Nest Centerpiece being made
Which is great if you appreciate a visual or Keep Scrolling for the simple steps……
Simple Steps:
- First, line the grapevine basket with a variety of fibers/moss….I repurposed a coco husk liner and added those fibers all along the bottom of the basket
- Next, add in gray Spanish moss & green prairie grass
- Then, I added green berry sprigs & creamy white faux florals
- For even more texture, I placed a few twigs & dried natural elements amongst the moss/fibers
- For my ceramic bird figurine, I applied a bit of antique wax and placed that in basket too
- Next, I also used antique wax on a few foam eggs and placed those in the nest
- Now, I downloaded the flash card printable designs
- Then printed on white card stock & cut out the “nest” one
- For an aged look, I also applied antique wax to the flash card (front & back) and placed in basket
- For a final touch, tie on a few pieces of ripped fabrics
I chose NOT to glue any of my items in place…just in case I want to use the basket in another way later. However, you can certainly use hot glue or floral wire to hold everything in place in a more permanent way.
