Fabric Hanging Pocket on Wood Plank
Excited to show you how to create your own Fabric Hanging Pocket! It features a charming bee design, so perfect for spring and summer decorating!

Here’s a SUPPLY LIST for the Fabric Hanging Pocket:
- 12×5.5in Wood Plank (Get it Here)
- Monks Cloth (Hobby Lobby SKU: 2159325)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Light Duty Stapler
- Patterned Fabric (Hobby Lobby)
- 4x6in Bee Design (Get it in this Bundle)
You’ll also need…..
- Jute String
- Scissors
- Cordless Drill
- Green Berry Bush (Hobby Lobby SKU: 997908)
- Creamy Heather Sprigs (Similar to THIS ONE)
- Little Piece of Burlap
- Thin Jute String
- Wood Button, from my favorite jar (Get it Here)
Here are some Simple STEPS to go along with short video above:
- Cut a piece of monks cloth big enough to wrap around the wood plank
- Next, attach monks cloth using stapler & hot glue
- I brought my cloth just over half way up the plank before attaching
- Print the 4×6 bee printable design onto a patterned fabric using an inkjet printer
- If you’ve never done this, check out THIS BLOG POST for instructions
- Now rip the edges of the bee fabric patch
- Then secure on the front of hanging pocket using hot glue
- Next drill 2 holes at top of wood plank
- Cut a piece of jute string and double knot on the front of each hole
- Make a simple bow with burlap & attach with hot glue
- And then hot glue a button in the center for extra embellishment
- Lastly, fill the pocket with your favorite faux florals
