Easy Buffalo Plaid Painting on Signs

Easy you say?! YES! Once I discovered how incredibly easy it was to paint buffalo plaid using this technique, I don’t plan on using painter’s tape again! Now don’t get me wrong, if you are one for absolute perfection, by all means use tape. It’s just MY personal style is distressed & perfectly imperfect so I’m fully embracing it! Woo hoo!

And besides, I still distressed even if I used tape. So once I got a feel for painting it this way, it made perfect sense to keep doing it like this on EVERYTHING! I even used it on a mason jar! You can check out that makeover HERE if you are interested!

Tried a few different color schemes too, like green, gray & beige. They all turned out great! And I love the kind of almost watercolor look the design has overall!

Now if you’re interested in trying this one out on your own you’ll need just a few things to get started….they supply list is only a loose suggestion as all the colors & size of sign are completely up to you!
